The Lamar Institute of Technology seeks a part-time ESL Instructor to provide high-quality ESL instruction to adult learners at various proficiency levels. This role involves teaching courses in person at the TSUS Polk County Center in Livingston, TX, and developing lesson plans to enhance student language skills and prepare them for postsecondary education or workforce training.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with ESL Teaching Certification, proficiency in digital instructional strategies, and at least two years of relevant teaching experience. This position will include evening and weekend classes as necessary.

The ESL Instructor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delivering high quality ESL instruction to adult learners at various proficiency levels at the TSUS Polk County Center in Livingston, TX. This position supports students in developing the language skills necessary to transition into postsecondary education or workforce training programs. The ESL Instructor reports directly to the Executive Director of Workforce. This is a part‑time, non‑exempt position. Hours vary depending on the need and course schedule, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
This is not a posting for ONLINE instructors. Classes will be delivered at the Livingston, TX Polk County Education Center.
