Kilgore College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach dual credit courses for high school students. The role involves developing syllabi, assisting students, and fulfilling administrative tasks.
Qualified candidates need a master's degree or higher with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject area for academic courses. This position offers a competitive salary based on educational level, ranging from $1,800 to $2,000 per course, along with worker's compensation and a limited part-time retirement plan.
This position is part of the teaching faculty within the various instructional areas for which KC offers dual credit courses to high school students. Courses will be taught in various formats (in-person, on-line, hybrid, or multi-modal) on the KC campuses in Kilgore or Longview or at various high school locations.
This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more courses, assisting students, developing appropriate course syllabi, checking and responding to KC email daily, submitting various documentation in a timely manner, and fulfilling other responsibilities as needed.
For academic transfer courses, the successful candidate for this position will have a masters degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject area.
For career and technical education courses, various qualifications will be considered, such as degree earned and work experience.
