This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Language Development department and reports to the Department Chair.

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Language Development department and reports to the Department Chair.

Responsibilities

This is a part‑time faculty position. Expectations for this position include teaching one or more English courses during daytime hours and could also include the following: teach in afternoons and/or evenings (non‑peak times) and use instructional technology in the classroom. English faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications

A mastery of the English language, a commitment to excellence in teaching at the community college level, and a master’s degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in English are required. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits

• Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3‑hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3‑hour course for a doctorate.
