Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire (UNH) seeks an adjunct instructor to teach MCBS 801: Intro Careers in Biotechnology, MCBS 895: Special Topic, and MCBS: Doctoral Research in the Fall semester. The Adjunct will also support NIH-funded CIBBR grant administration and related program duties within MCBS.

The role integrates leadership of grant activities, program administration for the MCBS department, and ongoing research responsibilities to advance departmental priorities at UNH.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching graduate courses and developing course materials.
• Ability to manage NIH-funded grant administration and reporting.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills for program operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach one section of MCBS 801, MCBS 895 and Doctoral Research during Fall.
• Develop and deliver lectures and instructional materials aligned with course objectives.
• Design and administer assessments for graduate courses with differentiated expectations.
• Hold regular office hours and provide academic support to enrolled students.
• Submit grades in accordance with UNH deadlines and policies.
• Coordinate with MCBS faculty to ensure curricular alignment.
• Serve as PI for the CIBBR NIH-funded grant and oversee program operations.
