A graduate degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience with autism in educational settings are required.

The incumbent will prepare graduate students to recognize autism characteristics, apply school-based assessment and evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with families and school

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with children/adolescents with autism.
• Experience with school-based, evidence-based assessment and intervention practices for students with autism.
• Experience collaborating with school psychologists, educators, families, special education teams, and other school-based professionals.

Aufgaben

• Teach CPSE 613: Autism Spectrum Disorders, in person, 4:00-6:50 p.m. on Wednesdays during Winter Semester, January 6–April 14, 2027.
• Prepare graduate students to understand autism characteristics, development across the lifespan, diagnosis, and implications for school-based assessment and educational planning.
• Develop students' skills in evidence-based assessment as well as academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional supports for students with autism.
• Prepare students to participate in multidisciplinary evaluation, intervention planning, progress monitoring, and consultation with families and school professionals.
• Promote culturally responsive, ethical, family-centered, and strengths-based practices in supporting autistic students and their families.
