Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Astronomy Instructor for Fall Semester 2026 and Spring Semester 2027. You will teach astronomy courses, align with course competencies, and employ diverse instructional strategies to meet varied learning styles.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in Astronomy or 12 graduate hours in science with 6 in Astronomy/Astrophysics. The position may be based at various IA campuses, with days/times to be determined.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Job Summary
