The Adjunct Instructor for Advanced Cyber Operations and AI Cyber will provide instruction for programs for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, contingent upon availability of funding. The teaching schedule will be dependent upon class assignment, which may be classroom-based, virtual, or a combination, depending on need and instructor preference. Candidates working anywhere in the U.S. may be considered for a remote assignment. If selected and employed to work remotely from outside of Arizona, overtime exemption status will depend on state law; the position title would be “Part‑Time Faculty” instead of “Adjunct Instructor” in accordance with university practices. An hourly rate for this position would be $46.88 - $56.25 per hour.

Your teaching load may make you eligible for benefits if you work at a 0.50 FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. You may also become eligible for retirement if you work at a 0.50 FTE or greater for 20 weeks or longer. As courses and loads are determined, we will notify employees should they gain benefits and/or retirement eligibility status.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Instruct students in field of expertise.
  • Plan course delivery, align content with other courses, and provide feedback on student work.
  • Advise students, hold office hours, and provide student support.
  • Assist with capstone projects or individual student projects as needed, engaging in project-based pedagogy when possible.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field (undergraduate instruction) or Ph.D. in a related field AND a minimum of 3 years working as a professional expert in the field (graduate instruction).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in Information Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Library Science, Media Ecology, Game Media, Gaming Behavior, Game Design and Production, Game Development, or other related field.
  • Content expertise that aligns with enrollment needs.
