Black Hawk College seeks adjunct faculty to provide instruction in high school credit courses and guide students toward academic goals. The instructor collaborates with the Optional Ed Coordinator to develop individualized educational plans based on transcripts and delivers instruction in required subjects.

Most classes are held Monday–Friday during morning and early afternoon. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree start at $21.18/hour and Master's candidates at $24.71/hour.

Bachelor's candidates start at $21.18/hour. Master's candidates at $24.71/hour.

Candidates hired to teach at Black Hawk College are required to submit official transcripts within three weeks of hire date.

Core Benefits for Qualifying Adjunct Faculty (To qualify for benefits, an adjunct faculty member must qualify for membership in the Adjunct Faculty Bargaining Unit at the beginning of the second consecutive semester of teaching six (6) equated credit hours or more per semester (fall/spring or spring/fall) or have 160 contact hours per semester (fall/spring or spring/fall.)
