Black Hawk College seeks an ESL Instructor for our Adult Education Program to provide English as a Second Language instruction and support cultural workforce integration. The position focuses on evening classes to accommodate working students.

Responsibilities include preparing and delivering instruction based on textbooks, and administering standardized tests to measure progress; a Bachelor's degree is required, with teaching experience or ESL adult learner experience preferred.

General Information & Responsibilities

Black Hawk College seeks an ESL Instructor for our Adult Education Program.

Provide English as a Second Language instruction to improve students' English language skills and prepare them for cultural integration in the workforce and community.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required. Previous teaching experience or experience with ESL adult learners preferred.

Supplemental Information

• Work hours are: Monday-Thursday 5:00-7:30 pm
• Bachelor's candidates start at $26.88/hour. Master's candidates at $31.36/hour.
• Black Hawk College does not sponsor employment visas.
• Candidates hired to teach at Black Hawk College are required to submit official transcripts within three weeks of hire date.
