Job summary

Brigham Young University in Utah seeks an Adjunct Teaching- Field Placement Supervisor for the Elementary Education program. The role oversees clinical aspects across partnership districts, supports liaisons and CFAs, and ensures performance-based assessments are completed for teacher candidates.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Elementary/Early Childhood Education (Master's preferred) and a minimum of four years of K-6 teaching experience, with strong collaboration and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education; degree must be completed by start date.
• Extensive K-6 public school teaching experience (minimum 4 years).
• Experience mentoring preservice teachers in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Support district liaisons and CFAs in overseeing clinical aspects of the Elementary Education program.
• Conduct school visits and student observations in Alpine, Nebo, Jordan and Provo districts (vehicle required; mileage reimbursed).
• Assist with performance-based assessments for teacher candidates in BYU systems.
• Assist with El Ed 299R/399R courses and El Ed 400R student teaching seminars.
• Attend university meetings and model professionalism in alignments with BYU mission.
