Brigham Young University seeks an experienced online high school instructor to deliver targeted virtual instruction using BYU Online High School curriculum. You will align lessons with Utah and national standards, FERPA, and graduation requirements, while employing best practices in online teaching.

The role emphasizes student support, assessment, collaboration with teachers and counselors, and ongoing professional development within a remote, national program managed by BYU Online High School

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in education or in the subject taught, plus teacher education training and a current Utah teaching license.
• Endorsements for the subject(s) taught (English, Social Studies, Math or Science) must be current.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in education or in the taught subject with current Utah license and endorsements.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate, conduct, and manage targeted instruction in a virtual classroom.
• Instruct BYU Online High School courses according to BYU policies and procedures.
• Understand and implement Utah state and national standards, FERPA, and graduation requirements.
• Use online teaching best practices and technology to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate with students and parents to support student success.
