Job summary

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is building a pool of adjunct and/or substitute instructors for Farm Business & Production Management. Instructors may teach face-to-face, online, or hybrid courses and must reside within driving distance of CVTC campuses.

Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction, creating assessments, and promoting student success across diverse learners. Qualified candidates typically hold an associate degree in a related field and have at least two years

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum two years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience, with one year (2,000 hours) within five years prior to hire.
  • Experience with dairy and livestock record-keeping software.
  • Experience with dairy nutrition, reproduction, and herd health.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Must meet CVTC requirements and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan for and instruct courses in Farm Business & Production Management.
  • Implement relevant and progressive curriculum.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction using effective learning strategies and environments.
  • Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies through formative and summative measures.
  • Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Maintain professional currency and contribute to a collaborative culture across the College.
  • Model integrity through self-awareness, personal accountability, ethical behavior, quality standards, and sustainable practices.
  • Apply critical thinking by problem solving, acquiring relevant information, using technology appropriately, and evaluating alternatives.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and speaking, practicing active listening and adapting communication for the audience.
  • Recognize personal biases, adapt to different cultural situations, and demonstrate a commitment to respectful interactions with people from diverse backgrounds.
