We seek applicants for a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach Veterinary Assistant courses within the College’s Career and Technical Education division, with a particular need for an instructor to teach Tuesday/Thursday evening classes during the Fall 2026 semester. This course introduces students to the growing field of veterinary medicine. Students will learn about the care of animals as well as how to recognize signs of illness and disease. The program also covers interpersonal communication, interaction with clients and their animals, as well as how to assist the veterinarian during examinations. Additional teaching opportunities may be available during future semesters, as well as at our Lincoln and/or Pontiac, IL locations.
Anticipated class schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m.– 8:15 p.m.

These positions are based in Central Illinois and ability to be present on‑campus/in‑person is required.
Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) of instruction. As of the time of posting, the compensation rate per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $1,011.
