Position Summary
La Salle University’s Psychology department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. These courses are generally offered in person during the day and evening. Occasionally, an online course will become available.

Required Qualifications
Required of instructors in ALL programs:
- Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
- Multicultural competence and training.
Undergraduate Program:
- Master’s degree (M.A.) or above in psychology or in a closely related field.
Professional Clinical Counseling Master’s Program:
- M.A. or Ph.D. Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision (preferably from a CACREP accredited program and with a mental health counseling specialty), Psychology, or a closely related area, depending on the course.
Marriage and Family Therapy or Couple and Family Therapy Master’s Program:
- M.A. or Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy, Couple & Family Therapy (preferably from a COAMFTE -accredited program), Psychology, or a closely related area depending on the course.
- License-eligible as an LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania for certain courses.
Doctoral Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology Program:
- Doctoral degree in psychology in a relevant area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level.
- Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- Must be able to teach in-person on La Salle’s main campus in Philadelphia, PA.
- Some courses are held during the evening.
