An established educational institution is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for its Health & Human Services Department. General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks a part-time/adjunct instructor to join the Health & Human Services Department to teach Clinical/lab Surgical Technology courses.
Description of Duties
The faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience; developing, securing, and maintaining the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Possess Surgical Technology certification from the NBSTSA.
Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the medical-surgical area in an operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
