Job Description: The Entrepreneurship department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions in the Business Enterprise Area of the Entrepreneurship Department. The Business Enterprise area focuses on teaching specific business classes to students in creative majors. Adjunct instructors are expected to teach the required 15-week class schedule, pursue involvement in professional organizations, and maintain industry relationships. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality education and student-centeredness, be part of a collaborative team, and be informed of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligning with the FIT mission and standard practices. The ideal candidate will be a creative and business professional with entrepreneurial and business experience in at least one of the following areas: fashion, design, illustration, fine arts, spatial or visual design, production development, or other creative fields.

  • Deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field or a closely related field.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree in the field or a closely related field.
  • College-level teaching experience.
Additional Information

This is a part-time, adjunct teaching position beginning Spring 2025. Applications will be reviewed immediately and continuously until filled. The department maintains a candidate pool for future opportunities. Qualified applicants will be contacted.

Compensation

$84.60 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, as governed by the UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement.
