Job description

Job Description

Applications are invited for an online/remote part-time tutor for the School of Medical Imaging & Therapeutics, Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
  • Assist students on/with course work in Nuclear Medicine Technology, including procedures, nuclear cardiology, radiation physics and instrumentation, PET, radiopharmacy, and radiation sciences and regulations.
  • Offer tutoring session availability in an online/virtual format
  • Provide work for students to do after the tutoring session to check for understanding
  • Collaborate with the applicable course instructor to determine plan of action for specific student
  • Provide feedback to student specific to progression in subject matter
  • Provide feedback to the program director as to student progress
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor


Requirements

Required:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology as a technologist or a researcher
  • Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)

Desired:
  • Master's Degree in a health-related profession (Health Sciences, MHA, MBA, or the like)
