About the Chemistry and Biochemistry Program (CBP): The CBP is a member of the Division of Natural Sciences of the College of Applied and Natural Sciences (CANS) at Seattle Pacific University. The CBP offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Chemistry.

We typically have openings for adjunct chemistry faculty to teach laboratory sections of the following courses: general chemistry (CHM 1211L, CHM 1212L), survey of general chemistry (CHM 1310L), survey of organic chemistry (CHM 1330L), and survey of biochemistry (CHM 1360L). The teaching role involves working closely with faculty to promote scientific integrity and an excellent work ethic throughout the 1000‑level chemistry laboratory curriculum.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters degree in a branch of chemistry (or related field).
• Bachelors degree applicants will be considered if they have teaching experience.
• Commitment to support active, participatory learning experiences.
• Personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU’s mission, alignment with the University’s Statement of Faith, and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the community.

Compensation

$900 per credit.
