Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College is seeking an adjunct, part-time Physics faculty member to teach college-level courses, including possible online distance learning, on an as-needed basis.

Assignments may span day, evening and weekend schedules and occur at Middletown, Fauquier, and Luray-Page County locations. Applicants must reside in VA, WV, MD or DC; transcripts are required with the application.

Job Description

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a Physics adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Physics or eighteen graduate semester hours in Physics.
