Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College seeks adjunct, part-time faculty to teach Anatomy and Physiology on a course-by-course basis. This position may involve distance learning and off-campus courses during the day, evening, and weekend hours at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC, and hold a Master’s degree (or M.S. with 18 graduate credits).

Qualifications

  • Masters in the field or Masters with 18 graduate credits in the field.
  • The ability to use instructional technology is required.
  • Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools
  • College level teaching experience, online experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
  • The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students

Responsibilities

  • Teach Anatomy and Physiology courses, including distance learning options.
  • Deliver instruction on campus or online as needed (day, evening, weekends).
  • Prepare and evaluate coursework, assignments, and assessments.
  • Maintain records and communicate with students and administration.

The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50.

Part Time

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for an Anatomy and Physiology adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

If any candidate with degrees awarded outside of the United States, please include unofficial evaluations for these foreign transcripts with your application. Should you be selected for hire, faculty who hold one or more degrees are required to submit official transcripts of all degrees, including official evaluations for any foreign transcripts to the Office of Human Resource Management.

The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
