Kean University seeks a Clinical Supervisor (Adjunct Faculty) to support student knowledge and dispositions during clinical placements, supervising, observing, mentoring and giving formative and summative feedback aligned with NJPST, InTASC and Kean's assessment instructions.
The role requires NJ teacher certification, a master’s degree in a related field, strong tech skills (MS Office/Google Suite), willingness to travel for observations, and availability for per‑credit courses; adjuncts join a
Clinical Supervisor (Adjunct Faculty). Assists with the support and development of student knowledge, skills and dispositions during one or more stages of a student’s clinical placement. Responsible for supervising, observing, mentoring and providing formative and summative feedback to clinical students on classroom preparation performance, aligning with research, theory and best practices.
All adjunct positions are non‑tenure track. Provide at least one hour of availability per week per 3–4 credit class, and an additional 30 minutes for each additional class taught. For courses fewer than 3 credits, provide at least 30 minutes of availability each week. Availability may be in person or virtual.
Pay based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement: $1,975 per credit (Sept2024), $2,100 per credit (Sept2025), $2,225 per credit (Sept2026). Beginning in the 13th semester taught, adjuncts receive an additional $75 per credit.
Adjuncts are enrolled in a state‑administered retirement plan (when eligible) and may enroll in the Part‑Time State Health Benefits Program for medical and prescription coverage.
