Colorado Mountain College is looking for experienced interpreters to serve as core instructors for their interpreter training program. This role involves teaching, developing lesson plans, and mentoring students in a supportive environment that emphasizes ethical AI training and language access in rural communities.
The ideal candidate will have a national or state interpreter certification and bilingual proficiency, preferably in Spanish. Strong teaching experience and the ability to travel within the region are required.
Colorado Mountain College is building one of the region’s first comprehensive interpreter workforce pipelines, integrating certification‑aligned curriculum, real‑world practicum, ethical AI training, and strong employer partnerships. We are seeking nationally certified, experienced interpreters to serve as core instructors for our accelerated 120‑hour, 13‑week interpreter training program, launching across several campuses as part of a statewide effort to expand language access in rural mountain communities.
The position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving, handling objects, frequent reaching with hands/arms, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication with students, colleagues, and the public. Daily use of a computer and standard office equipment and occasional vehicle driving.
