Job Description Summary

The Adjunct Faculty – NCCER Carpentry Pre-Apprenticeship Instructor is responsible for delivering NCCER -accredited Core and Carpentry curriculum to participants enrolled in workforce and pre-apprenticeship training programs. This role focuses on hands-on instruction, jobsite safety, foundational carpentry skills, and employability competencies aligned with industry standards. The instructor ensures compliance with NCCER accreditation requirements, institutional policies, and applicable workforce funding guidelines while supporting student retention, credential attainment, and apprenticeship readiness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of professional carpentry experience.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Carpentry, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior teaching or workforce training experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations.
  • Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Instruction occurs in classroom, workshop, and simulated jobsite environments.
