Job summary

Description

Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor in Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach in-person Math courses. A Master's degree in a math-related field or a related Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in mathematics is required. College teaching experience in Mathematics is preferred.

Contracts

Contracts for this position may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success. In order to be considered, applicants should provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and unofficial graduate transcripts. Candidates who are unable to instruct these courses in-person will not be considered .

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mathematics. A Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics is the minimum required. Strong communication skills, substantial knowledge of the Math discipline, and experience as a teacher at the college level (or demonstrable promise thereof) are all strongly desired qualities for this position.
