William Paterson University invites qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate journalism courses through the Department of Communication. Candidates should hold a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience and have journalism experience; teaching experience is a plus.
Areas of expertise include news reporting, news writing, feature writing, social/digital media management, and audio/television production. Courses may be scheduled day, night, weekends, online or on campus.
The Department of Communication invites adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in our growing journalism program. Candidates should hold a master’s degree (M.A., M.F.A., or M.B.A.) or equivalent professional experience, and have prior professional experience in journalism. Prior teaching experience is a plus.
Candidates should be well‑versed in the intersections of these areas and demonstrate a passion for journalism, an understanding of the evolving news media landscape, and a dedication to helping students achieve in an increasingly complex and competitive professional environment. They must commit to teaching diverse populations.
Course sections may be scheduled during the day, night, or weekends, online, or on campus.
