Job summary

Harper College in Illinois is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach IND 203 – 3D Design Studio, delivering course content that aligns with standards and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Adhere to deadlines for mid-term verification and final grade postings.
  • Ensure alignment with institutional policies including academic integrity and accessibility.
  • Convey 3-D design concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback to students.

Adjunct faculty may be assigned a maximum workload of 24 contacthours or equivalent per academic year, i.e., fall and springsemesters. Classes within the program are offered in day, evening,and/or online modalities

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study thatinvolve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate coreacademic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge toprovide students with a pathway to postsecondary education andcareers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teaching IND 203 – 3D Design Studio
  • Deliver course content that aligns with the college’s curriculumstandards and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop course syllabi, assignments, and assessments that reflectcurrent industry practices and ensure course outcomes aremet.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment thataccommodates diverse learning styles and promotes studentsuccess.
  • Use technology and other resources to enhance course delivery andstudent engagement, including online, hybrid, or face-to-facemodalities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student’s progress and grades.
  • Must adhere to mid-term verification and final grade postingdeadlines.
  • Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including thoserelated to academic integrity and accessibility.
  • Effectively engage students, convey 3-D design concepts, and offerconstructive criticism of student work using excellentcommunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastically translate complex design concepts into clear,accessible Interior Design lessons intended for college levelstudents.
