Job summary

Passaic County Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Human Services/Pre-Social Work based in Paterson, NJ. Courses are offered in-person during the 15-week semester, with classes meeting one or two times weekly in mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field and have college-level teaching experience, preferably at a community college, with experience in distance learning as a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in appropriate field is required.
• College-level teaching experience required; community college preferred.
• Experience in distant learning modalities preferred.
• Background check will be required for the selected candidate.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College’s academic calendar and approved syllabi.
• Meet all scheduled class sessions.
• Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
• Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program.
• Utilize the College’s student learning platform to fulfill teaching duties.
