Qualifications

• Appropriate credentials for faculty teaching in developmental education areas are determined by discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, licensure or certification in the discipline, and three years of work experience.

University Parallel:

• Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield in which an individual is teaching, or
• Master’s degree and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline or subfield in which an individual is teaching.

Developmental Education:

• Appropriate credentials for faculty teaching in developmental education areas are determined by discipline

Technical/Occupational (Workforce Development):

• The same as those listed for university parallel, or
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, appropriate state and/or national licensure or certification in the discipline or subfield in which he or she is teaching, and three years of work experience in the field.

• Compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.
