University of Virginia seeks Unit Paid Faculty to teach additional courses on an as-needed basis. Teaching encompasses all activities that directly facilitate student learning, including contact hours, office hours, class preparation, grading, and student email responses, advising, material access, and e-learning support.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. This role supports UVA's commitment to flexible, adjunct teaching to meet curricular needs.

Teaching – Teaching encompasses all activities that directly facilitate student learning, including the contact hours spent in the classroom, office hours, class preparation, grading, answering student email, student advising, evaluating and making available course materials, facilitating e-learning and related duties.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
