The EMT Instructor will teach the skills and knowledge necessary toprovide emergency medical care at the basic life support level to adiverse student population; will participate and perform otherduties related to teaching at a community college. Theresponsibilities and duties of the instructor may change as theneeds of the college arise.
Associate’s degree. Minimum two years experience working in anemergency medical setting. Strong knowledge of administrative andclerical procedures and systems. Knowledge of current MicrosoftOffice applications and excellent written communication skills and basic computer literacy required. Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning and have excellent analytical,interpersonal and oral communications skills. Bachelor’s degree in related field. Four years working in various roles in an emergency medical setting. Strong knowledge of medicaland legal issues faced by the emergency medical technician. Workingknowledge of business correspondence, office machines, job seeking,cloud computing, and speech recognition software. Academicpreparation and teaching experience in areas of Emergency MedicalTechnology. Experience using course management system to deliverinstruction. Experience working with culturally diverse students. Willingness to stay up-to-date on current trends in emergencymedical procedures and practice.
