Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; minimum two years in an emergency medical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills and basic computer literacy.
  • Actively demonstrates Morton College core values: Compassion, Equity, Accountability, Innovation, Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize syllabus template, approved textbooks, and materials for the course.
  • Submit personalized syllabus to Deans’ Office one week before start date.
  • Distribute and review the comprehensive syllabus with students in the first week.
  • Adhere to Course Data Form and college calendar for times and places.
  • Obtain prior approval for substitutes or guest speakers from Deans’ Office.
  • Maintain grade book in electronic or hard copy format.
  • Take and record student attendance daily.
  • Submit attendance verification and mid-semester rosters to Deans’ Office.
  • Give final exam as per the college Final Exam Schedule.
  • Respond to emails from students and staff in a timely manner during sessions.
  • Check assigned college mailbox regularly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
