Adjunct Faculty, Dance (Non-Transferable) (NWSA)

Location: New World School of the Arts

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time

Salary: $54.37 per hour (Base Rate)

Reports To: Dean of Dance, NWSA

Position Overview

This Adjunct Faculty teaches non-transferable courses in the High School Dance (Ballet and Modern) Division. This individual will also choreograph and direct high school and college students in choreographic works.

What you will be doing

• Teach lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluate and advise students
• Develop curricula
• Recruit students
• Participate in departmental and college affairs
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Dance; or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with choreographing teaching experience preferred; a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Dance; or an Associate's Degree with choreographing experience
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
• Willing to work flexible schedule and assignments, including travel to various campuses and outreach centers
