Job summary

Winthrop University seeks a part-time adjunct DanceInstructor to teach contemporary, jazz and ballet technique at all levels. The role includes opportunities to choreograph for departmental musical theatre or dance productions and to teach additional technique courses and dance theory based on expertise.

Preferred qualifications include a BA or MFA in dance and evidence of collaboration in a team-oriented environment. Official transcripts will be required with application.

• Ability to teach contemporary and/or jazz and ballet technique at all levels.
• Experience choreographing college-level dance or musical theatre productions.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• At least 18 hours of graduate credits in the discipline (exception for strong professional experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• B.A. or M.F.A. in dance.
