MassBay Community College is seeking an adjunct Humanities faculty member to join the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences. This position includes teaching Critical Thinking, a general‑education requirement for all degree‑seeking students in person on the Wellesley, Framingham, and Ashland campuses.
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner‑centered environment conducive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24‑hour period.
The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance, and grades.
Faculty are responsible for developing educational and evaluation materials consistent with the philosophy and framework of the program, MassBay Community College, and, if applicable, accreditation, licensure, and specialty requirements, and for maintaining current expertise in the discipline.

Salary Range: $1,512 - $1,715 per DCE Credit
