Job summary

Harper College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position teaching English as a Second Language. Courses cover Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Communication skills for ESL students, ranging from high-beginning to advanced levels to prepare for higher education and professional goals.

Required: Master’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics and at least three years of teaching experience. Preference given to candidates with US higher education ESL experience and native-level English

Job Description

Teach classes in academic Reading,Writing, Grammar, Communication Skills, and related areas to English as a Second Language students. Courses in the academic ESLprogram prepare students for higher education and professionalgoals. Courses range from high-beginning to advanced level.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements
  • Required: Three years of teaching experience.
  • Preferred: Teaching experience in English as a Second Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) in highereducation in the United States. Native or near-native proficiencyin English
