Job summary

Harper College is seeking qualified candidates to serve as adjunct instructors in Philosophy for the Spring 2026 semester. Instructors will teach face-to-face classes on campus, including Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Critical Thinking, and Religions of the World. Minimum qualification is an M.A. in Philosophy or related discipline with 18 graduate hours in philosophy; teaching experience is preferred.

Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Day/evenings/weekends depending uponcourse schedule. The Philosophy Department is looking to hirequalified applicants for the Spring 2026 semester. We will not knowexactly what our needs are until we begin staffing classes. Weanticipate needing instructors who can come on campus to teachface-to-face classes. We may need someone to teach Introduction toPhilosophy, Ethics, Critical Thinking, or Religions of theWorld.

This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates for the above subjects. As teaching needs arise, these applications will be reviewed for possible interviews
