Harper College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position teaching English as a Second Language. Courses cover Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Communication skills for ESL students, ranging from high-beginning to advanced levels to prepare for higher education and professional goals.

Required: Master’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics and at least three years of teaching experience. Preference given to candidates with US higher education ESL experience and native-level English

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or closely related area is required.
• Three years of teaching experience required.
• Preferred: teaching ESL for Academic Purposes in US higher education; native or near-native proficiency in English.
