Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education

The College of DuPage is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Social Dance. We are committed to supporting student success in a multicultural environment and encourage applications from candidates who reflect the diversity of our student body and community. Opportunities may include teaching during days, evenings, and weekends.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty are responsible for course planning, instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, and may teach in various formats such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended. They are also responsible for student evaluation and timely submission of required paperwork.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience teaching adults, preferably a minimum of two years
• Ability to teach in-person at the Glen Ellyn campus
• Experience with online or virtual teaching is preferred
• Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of online teaching
• This is a non-credit course focusing on personal growth and development, including social dances like waltz, salsa, swing, and more. Courses typically meet once a week for three hours over four weeks.
