College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty to teach Real Estate in Continuing Education. Instructors will plan and deliver courses in classroom, lab, or online settings, with possible evenings/weekends and multiple delivery formats.

The successful candidate will hold an IL IDFPR Pre-License Instructor License, have knowledge of Illinois real estate laws, and demonstrate strong communication to engage adult learners. The role is stipend-based and requires a background check.

Adjunct Faculty - Continuing Education - Real Estate

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of associate's degree along with a combination of education and teaching experience is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Holds a current, valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Pre-License Instructor License authorizing instruction in real estate pre-licensing courses.
• Possess strong knowledge of Illinois real estate laws, licensing requirements, and industry practices.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.Demonstrate the ability to engage adult learners and support student learning and success.
• Be comfortable using instructional technology and maintaining student attendance, assessment, and course records in accordance with College and IDFPR requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred, particularly in real estate pre-licensing, adult education, or professional development.
• Experience teaching diverse adult learners in a classroom or online environment.
• Practical experience in residential real estate sales, brokerage operations, contracts, agency relationships, real estate finance, or Illinois real estate law.
• Ability to create an engaging learning environment that connects course concepts to real-world real estate practice.
  Familiarity with learning management systems and online instructional tools.

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.

A pre-employment background check at the Colleges' expense is required.
