Responsibilities

• Teach introductory biology lab courses and potentially upper-level lecture courses in ecology and evolution, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, physiology, and neurobiology.
• Be available for at least one to two hours of office hours per week.
• Attend weekly lab instructors’ meetings.
• Manage teaching load typically one or two courses per semester; maximum enrollment for a lab section is approximately 20 students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biology or closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior university teaching experience strongly preferred.
• PhD and teaching experience required for appointment at the Adjunct Assistant Professor or greater level.
