The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teachArt.WPI’s Art faculty teach introductory courses,intermediate class,advancedtechnique seminars, and capstone practicums. The Art curriculum emphasizes visual arts (drawing, painting, and modeling); art and architectural history; digital imaging and computer art; animation and game design, and video production.
We are looking for outstanding artists/scholars, but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold an appropriate terminal degree such as an MFA or a Ph.D. in an appropriate field.
