This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short‑term and/or part‑time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. Wage Faculty (Adjunct) may only be paid via Period Activity Pay.

Position Overview

The University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Human Services to teach and provide content expertise for programs in Youth & Social Innovation for the 2026‑2027 academic year.

Appointment Details

Positions will be filled on an on‑going basis according to curriculum needs and appointments are typically for teaching a single course. If no position is currently available, we will retain submitted applications on file for future consideration through the 2026‑2027 academic year.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s or Terminal Degree in an appropriate field is required (Terminal Degree preferred).
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence.
• Previous K‑12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
