Job Summary

Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom, laboratory, shop, or other learning environment. Will be required to teach Dual Credit classes at dual credit locations.

Education

Master's degree with 18 hours of graduate-level credit in teaching discipline, or a combination of experience and education that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Experience

Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught.

• Ability to focus on details, ensuring that every aspect of lesson planning, assessment, and student engagement is conducted with precision, creating an effective and organized learning environment, minimizing errors and enhancing student outcomes.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing and to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in operating computers, standard office equipment, and various instructional technologies (including Microsoft Office, LMS, and distance learning tools).
• Capacity to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Licensing Requirements

Texas driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

Light work; exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work.
