Requirements include an associate's degree, active Tennessee EMT-Basic license, two years of pre-hospital experience with 150 EMS instruction hours, and current EMT-Basic instructor

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Tennessee EMT-Basic license active with no revocation/denial/suspension.
  • Two years pre-hospital experience and 150 EMS instruction hours.
  • Current Tennessee EMT-Basic instructor certification (IC).
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in EMS education or related field.
  • Admin experience or college teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid modes including classroom, lab and clinical instruction.
  • Collaborate with course leads/program coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences.
  • Utilize LMS to provide course materials and manage content.
  • Submit updated syllabus before first class; monitor emails and respond within 48 hours.
  • Submit attendance, progress reports, grades and surveys by deadlines; follow college policies.
