Job summary

School of EMS in Sioux Falls is seeking an Adjunct Lab Instructor to provide high-quality live skills instruction and facilitate EMS scenario-based learning during lab sessions. The role reports to Site Manager or Site Supervisor and requires collaboration with the primary instructor and SOE leadership.

Candidates should be licensed as a paramedic or EMT, have related experience, and be able to work extended hours, travel as needed, and assist in training new adjunct instructors.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have sustained prehospital teaching experience.
  • Current certification as a state paramedic or EMT in good standing.
  • Ability to read, interpret and teach EMS curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Provides live skills and scenario instruction during lab classes.
  • Supports mission, vision, and values of the school with outside agencies.
  • Collaborates with the primary instructor and SOE leadership on policy enforcement.
  • Attends team meetings and annual training.
  • Grading of students based on psychomotor and affective criteria.
  • Follows the scheduled lab plan and reports student progress.
