Bluefield University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and related undergraduate courses. The candidate will develop curricula, engage in research, and advise students while fostering an inclusive learning environment.
The role emphasizes practical cybersecurity and IT experience, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and departmental activities within a Christ-centered academic community.
The Cybersecurity and IT Adjunct will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and related fields. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background as well as practical experience in the cybersecurity and IT domains. The instructor will engage in curriculum development, conduct research, participate in departmental activities, and advise students, all while fostering a positive learning environment.
The job duties, responsibilities, and requirements outlined above may be adjusted based on institutional needs. Bluefield University reserves the right to reassign roles or modify job expectations as necessary.
1. If a 3-credit course has between 2 and 3 students, the instructor will be paid:
b. 1 enrolled student – Independent Study rate of $100 per credit hour
2. If a 3-credit course has between 4 and 6 students, the instructor will be paid:
3. If a 3-credit course has between 7 and 22 students, the instructor will be paid:
a. $1,900
4. If a 3-credit course has 23 to 30 students, then the instructor will be paid:
a. $2,200
5. If a 3-credit course exceeds 30 students, the instructor will be compensated at $2,200
plus $80 per additional student in a course above 30
