Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Somerset, NJ is seeking an Adjunct Therapist to deliver therapeutic services within the Eating Disorders Unit, providing expressive arts interventions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will facilitate groups, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, support emotional regulation and recovery goals, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR. Weekend/holiday coverage flexibility is required.

Candidates must hold a B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational, Recreational Therapy or Vocational Counseling required.
• License commensurate with degree.
• Member of NTRS or ATRA preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years in Recreational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic groups using expressive modalities.
• Collaborate with treatment team to support goals.
• Provide coverage across inpatient and outpatient programs.
• Maintain clinical documentation in EMR.
• Respond to crisis and de-escalate when needed.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
