Eastern Iowa Community Colleges in Davenport, IA seeks a dedicated faculty member to teach chemistry and other physical science courses. The role involves evening courses and teaching at multiple sites, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and service.
The candidate will hold a Master’s in chemistry or related field with required graduate hours, and community college teaching experience is preferred. Emphasis on curriculum currency and student success.
Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in assigned chemistry and other physical science classes as negotiated between faculty and dean. Assignments may include alternative delivery methods, evening courses, and multiple sites. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Master’s Degree in chemistry or a Master’s Degree in related field with 12 graduate semester hours in specified chemistry. Community College teaching or training experience is preferred.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary $700.00 per credit hour; EICC retirees $1000 per credit hour.
