MCPHS is seeking adjunct faculty to teach biochemistry recitations for Fall 2026 in Boston. All sections are face-to-face on Fridays, with classes throughout the day.

Successful candidates will have at least one year of college-level teaching experience and will help students through problem solving and data interpretation of biochemical literature. The role emphasizes real-world applications, with an approved syllabus, office hours, and use of the university LMS for materials and communication.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (masters or above) in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or allied discipline.
• Minimum of one year of teaching courses at the college/university level.
• Commitment to undergraduate student success.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact with diverse groups (students, faculty, admin).

Responsibilities

• Delivers engaging instruction in face-to-face, in-person classes.
• Provides assignments demonstrating real-world applications of concepts.
• Provides an approved syllabus with objectives, learning outcomes, methods, attendance policies, texts, assignments, timelines and evaluation criteria.
• Uses the University’s LMS to post syllabus, assignments and materials and to communicate with students.
• Advises and assists students through in-person office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone, or email.
