Job summary

Johnson & Wales University in Providence is seeking adjunct faculty to teach baking & pastry arts on campus or online as needed for the academic year. Responsibilities

• Teach assigned course(s) on campus and online, preparing materials, grading, and providing timely feedback.
• Maintain course sites in the learning management system and update the grade center weekly.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic achievement.
• Distribute syllabi with objectives, required materials, attendance policy, and evaluation criteria.
• Communicate with the student, department chair, and academic counselor for students at risk.
• Refer students to appropriate university support services as needed.
• Populate the faculty information system to establish teaching credentials.
• Attend faculty orientation and meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
